Bosson Legal Group Welcomes New Attorney David Showalter

Bosson Legal Group is pleased to welcome new Associate Attorney David T. Showalter to the Firm.  Mr. Showalter will be primarily involved in the Firm’s Defense Base Act practice.

Mr. Showalter brings valuable DBA litigation experience from his previous position in the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges.  Mr. Showalter served as an Attorney-Advisor for Judge Carrie Bland, working on administrative law cases, including black lung disability and Defense Base Act injury compensation, whistleblower retaliation, and labor certification claims.  He has extensive experience in all aspects of formal evidentiary hearings, civil and administrative procedure, and has drafted numerous decisions and orders for Judge Bland analyzing the record and parties’ briefs and applying complex issues of congressional statutes and federal regulations.  Mr. Showalter looks forward to bringing his experience to advocate for BLG’s DBA clients.

Mr. Showalter also has experience in employment, entitlement, and administrative law matters working for low-income clients at Christian Legal Aid of D.C.

Mr. Showalter received his B.A. in Political Science from George Washington University in 2014, magna cum laude. He is a 2017 graduate of Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University, where he participating in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society and served as Senior Notes Editor of the Journal of Law, Economics & Policy. He is currently barred in the District of Columbia.
