Bosson Legal Group client Michael Cahill has settled a lawsuit against the City of Alexandria over disability discrimination and retaliation from his employer, the Alexandria Fire Department, related to his disability-related medical leave. Mr. Cahill’s lawsuit against the City of Alexandria included Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) claims in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Federal Judge Grants Preliminary Injunction in Accreditation Case
In February 2026, New Concept brought claims against NACCAS in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia for violation of due process. Despite vigorous opposition, New Concept was able to obtain the preliminary injunction that restores its accreditation during the internal appeal process.
