Personal Injury

Learn about our Personal Injury Practice at Bosson Legal Group, P.C. Bosson Legal Group is a law firm led by Tim Bosson, provides legal services in the areas of for-profit and nonprofit corporation law and civil litigation to individuals and organizations throughout Northern Virginia and D.C., including Fairfax, Merrifield, Falls Church and the jurisdictions of Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Arlington County, Prince William County and the City of Alexandria.

If you or a loved one has suffered an injury, -be it physical or psychological- due to the negligence or intentional action of another party, you might be entitled to compensation from the person at fault.

Keeping track of all the paperwork, seeking the proper records and complying with all the filing deadlines is no easy matter, especially when you are injured or incapacitated. Since time is a very important factor in procuring evidence to prove your case and promptly assess your damages, we suggest you consult with an attorney as early as possible after the injury arises.

Our firm has extensive experience with cases involving serious personal injury, such as fractures,  dislocations, ligament tears, quadriplegia, and even wrongful death.  Bosson Legal Group is not a personal injury case “mill” - that seeks to settle cases as fast as possible to benefit the Firm - we provide unique individual attention to each case that we accept.  While we are selective in the cases we take, we welcome any inquiries and if we cannot assist you we are glad to recommend other alternatives.

The personal injury cases we normally take are caused by auto accidents, including drivers who are drunk or drivers using company cars or trucks; pedestrian or bicycle accidents; unsafe premises or intentional harms.

Auto Accidents

Each year there are over 6 million auto accidents in the United States.  (See, https://crashstats.nhtsa.dot.gov/Api/Public/ViewPublication/812318).  When you have suffered a serious injury from such an accident the last thing you need is the hassle that comes from seeking reimbursement for your medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering with the insurance companies that are becoming increasingly hostile.  The attorneys at Bosson Legal Group have settled numerous auto accident cases, including cases involving drunk drivers, and taken dozens more to Mediation or Trial, with impressive results including a $2.5 million verdict in a wrongful death action.  For efficient, effective pursuit of your auto accident case, contact the attorneys at Bosson Legal Group.

Pedestrian/Bicycle Accidents

Though it would be hard to think of a leisure activity more enjoyable and seemingly safe than taking a stroll or riding a bike, accidents do happen, and pedestrians and cyclists are at a clear disadvantage when the other person involved is driving a car.  These accidents are frequently due to the fact that many drivers aren’t sufficiently aware of the traffic rules that apply to pedestrians or cyclists in Virginia or the District of Columbia.  In cases like these, proving fault can be of utmost importance, so we highly suggest you employ a knowledgable attorney like those at the Bosson Legal Group to help facilitate the process by asking the right questions from eyewitnesses and procuring an accurate police report.

Trampoline Park Injuries

Over the past decade there has been a significant jump in the number of trampoline parks opened across the country. Their popularity is skyrocketing but so are the number of injuries sustained at these facilities.  The worst thing is that injuries are often extremely serious, ranging from dislocated joints and open bone fractures to debilitating spinal cord and brain traumas. It’s no wonder that the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) strongly advises against recreational trampoline use, but the trampoline parks would never tell you this.

Due to the current lack of regulations, trampoline parks rarely provide visitors with adequate information on the risks, and also make them sign liability waivers that enable the owners of the park to minimize their responsibility in the case of an accident.  These waivers are generally void under Virginia law, but you will need the services of an experienced lawyer like Tim Bosson to take on the well-funded trampoline parks if you or a loved one has been hurt.

Intentional Injuries

Intentional harmful acts often do the most damage to one’s reputation or physical and emotional well-being.  These actions include such wrongs as assault, battery, defamation, or malicious prosecution.

Premises Liability

In America, any individual or entity that owns a residential or commercial property is expected to take reasonable measures to ensure the safety of all its visitors. Sadly though, wet and slippery sidewalks, damaged stairs, uneven pavement or insufficient lighting can all lead to accidents with dire outcomes even in places that seem harmless at first glance, like a parking lot or a sidewalk. In such instances, the individual who suffered injuries on the property of another may in fact be entitled to a compensation. For this to happen, proof must be provided in support of the claim that the defendant/owner was negligent, and that this was the primary cause of the injuries that were sustained by the plaintiff/visitor.

If you or someone close to you has been harmed on the premises of another individual’s or company’s property, don’t hesitate to employ one of our experienced and thorough attorneys to help you attain a favorable outcome and to ensure that no future accidents would occur in the same place.

Wrongful Death

The death of a loved one is the most grievous and traumatizing thing that can happen to us in our lives. This terrible experience is only compounded if the death occurred as a result of another person’s negligence or recklessness, because that means it could have been avoided. Though there is no justice on this earth that could even come close to resolving the pain and suffering of those left behind, it is important that wrongful death cases be treated with the gravity they deserve; meaning that those who played a part in causing the death of a human being be held accountable.

Furthermore, as everyone who faces the loss of a family member or loved one will come to experience, life does not stop and wait for anyone, and practical matters must be settled, checks must be paid and lives must be run. We feel that this is the area in which we could truly be of assistance to make this season slightly more bearable. Let us help in the only way we can by attaining the compensation you are rightly due and by taking over most of the burden of attending to the minute details of a lawsuit.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us, even for a consultation or free advice. It would be our privilege to bring you even one step closer to gaining peace of mind.
